About Us


Let us set the scene for you:

A casual dinner with friends back in 2007.
The friends are 2 couples that have become parents in the last year.
Conversation between the mums starts about the lack of availability of BPA free, chemical free and organic options for baby and toddler products in Australia as compared with the rest of the western world.

And so in the months following this dinner, a fledgling business was born.  Two Melbourne mums had made the jump into business to import and retail the products that they could not find here in Australia for their young babies at reasonable prices.
 
"We wanted to supply Australian Consumers with products that meet and exceed the standards we expect when it comes to the chemicals we expose our children to.  When we had our children, BPA, PVC and other nasties such as Phthalates were already surfacing in the news.  We found it extremely frustrating that we could not find products readily available in this country to support the scientific research and development coming out of other countries.  While we were very aware of the arguments for and against that research and development, we wanted the choice and assumed there would be many more Mums and Dads out there as well that would appreciate being able to make their own decisions."
 
So, a partnership formed and a busy online store commenced trading within the following months.
 
Today, CALUNAloves still concentrates on this same goal.  Although the owner has changed, the promise remains the same..... To distribute quality products into this country that allow Australian Consumers to have that choice.  Our current most popular products are our Swimwear range and our Outerwear range.  
 
We want and need our work environment to support raising our family.  All of our office functions are completed from home, allowing a flexible environment to work in.  Email is the preferred method of contact for this reason as there is no "noise" when you are reading your reply and it gives flexibility of responding to you at all hours of the day and night!
