Scientific research shows that Bisphenol-A (BPA), an industrial chemical used in the development of many plastics, mimics the hormone oestrogen. The digestion of this chemical has been shown to affect hormonal functioning, as well as physical and behavioural development. The plastics industry is confident that the chemical leaching does not pose as a health risk. There are many interesting reports to be seen & heard on YouTube here.
Canada disagrees, recently banning the sale of baby bottles containing BPA, and declaring the chemical BPA toxic. Japan and parts of Europe have also banned the chemical. Why take the risk?
